About Me
Hi! My name is Juno Okins, and I’m a music teacher from Fort Collins, Colorado. I play the drums and sing, but I also love reading and, of course, teaching! My teaching style is centered on kindness and having fun, all while working hard to produce our best work. If you enjoy putting in the effort and having a great time doing it, I’d be a great fit as your tutor.
Education
I am currently a college Sophomore at Colorado State University here in Fort Collins! I am a Music Education major and plan to graduate with my B.A in 2028.
Teaching Experience
I have worked with countless middle school and high school students to strengthen their musicianship and served as a Marching Band Staff Member for Chatfield High School in Denver this past summer, where I taught drumline members. I have also been a Percussion Section Coach for MSOE (Middle School Outreach Ensembles) here at CSU and have extensive experience meeting students where they are and enriching their understanding. While I primarily teach music, I am confident in my ability to teach any subject.
Interests
I love to go fishing with my friends, sing, and play Percussion. I also really love to read and practice creative writing.
I love teaching and explaining science at every level!
